About:
Want some notes that will help make your short story or novel better? Not copyediting for grammar, spelling, etc. Not catching inconsistencies. But notes about the story itself. Notes that can help you turn your okay or even good story into one that grabs readers and editors in ways you never have before.
The sort of things I look for?
1) the heart of the story. What is the real story the writer is telling here?
2) the big story elements. How are the hook, premise, character arc, structure, surprise, pacing etc. contributing to that telling?
3) other craft elements. Because sometimes what's getting in the way are surprising things that most writing books don't talk about. It could be information flow. Or "on the nose" dialogue. Or unconscious attitudes at war with the apparent theme of the story.
Expect lots of praise for all the things you've done right, and some surprise ways to make your story better. I'm not your average editor. These won't be your average notes.
